Northumberland Rivers Trust

Mission Statement

The objectives of Northumberland Rivers Trust are to work with all stakeholders with an interest in protecting and improving the natural, social and economic value of Northumberland’s rivers and their catchments. These stakeholders include farmers and landowners, local communities and businesses, statutory bodies and non-governmental organisations. Activities range from practical tasks such as removal of invasive species carried out by volunteers to developing and delivering large-scale projects to improve river and stream habitat by fencing out livestock, wetland creation and natural flood management.
